Programs & Services

Our Place Drop-In Center has been serving the community surrounding Bellows Falls, Vermont for nearly 25 years.  We are a community meal site, food pantry and social services resources for hundreds of people each year. Our email is ourplace@sover.net .

Our kitchen staff prepares nourishing meals with fresh food that is either donated or purchased from a variety of sources including local markets and farms, Thomas Dairy, UNFI and the Vermont Foodbank. For some people, eating at Our Place is one of the few social interactions in their daily lives. We also serve as a place to ask for information, assistance navigating the social service system or help to solve a problem. The food pantry is open five days a week and offers a selection of free groceries each month to an average of 160 different families.

In additions to the families and individuals who access the food pantry and meals at Our Place, we deliver more than 40 bags of assorted groceries each month to seniors and disabled people in our service area from Rockingham to Athens and south to Westminster. The families we serve are not always the same. Some visit the food pantry once or twice a year when there is an unexpected expense or loss of wages. Other families need supplemental food every in order to have enough food to nourish themselves and their children.

On a weekly basis, Our Place is open: Monday through Friday   8:00 a.m – 4:30 p.m. Breakfast is served 9-10:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30-12:30. All are welcome!

The Our Place food pantry is open: Monday through Friday   9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Please note that the food shelf is closed 11:30-12:30 for lunch.
